Postures of the Head, Upper, and Lower Neck in Forward Head Posture: Static and Quasi-static Analyses

Background: Abnormal head and neck postures play a significant role in developing cervical spine dysfunction. Forward posture (FHP) is one of the most common findings individuals who experience disorders. Objectives: This study used photographic method to analyze head, upper neck, lower forward both static quasi-static states. Since timely diagnosis appropriate treatment are important preventing further complications this kinematic chain disorder, postural variables were evaluated by focusing on their separate parts Methods: observational-analytical case-control included 175 with no history pain past 6 months, 138 FHP, 37 non-FHP. The angles, including cervical, craniovertebral, posture, tilt measured through photography state (with neutral position) (while moving sagittal plane) sitting position. measurements taken two groups (FHP non-FHP). Results: In state, angle was higher FHP group than non-FHP group. differences existed changes postural, angles between (P-value < 0.05). Conclusions: During full flexion extension subjects exhibited reduced mobility spine, particularly region. Additionally, position relative remained unchanged
